Innovation & Gender - How can companies develop a women friendly environment and culture: stay innovative and competitive in the market

Culture is the backbone of any team and organization. Sometimes it is difficult to define an innovation subculture within the organizational culture for each team or the organization as a whole. Our answer with this webinar is to give you a framework and set of tools that you can apply and get results right away. You will learn how to motivate teams to innovate and collaborate to create innovative solutions with a gender equality perspective. The webinar will address a framework to include women into the innovation pipeline and innovation culture and the KPIs to measure the progress and the success of a gender equality approach to innovation. 
 
This webinar will share good practices from Member States through user-friendly materials, to increase the visibility of female role models, work on mindset towards roles & professions in education and companies, communicate positive effects of diversity & inclusion. And how to change / adapt policies to create the right framework conditions for gender equality and support the companies to adopt the best practices and measures, culture and mindset for gender equality friendly to reach innovation and competitive advantage into the market.

About the Speakers

 

Lucia Seel

Lucia has more than 19 years of experience in innovation/cluster policies, creative industries and gender mainstreaming, developing cooperation projects, networking and capacity building activities at European level. As Manager of Lucia Seel International Consulting since 2011, she was involved in various roles and positions in flagship European projects such as the European Cluster Collaboration Platform, Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform, among many others in various funding programmes. Currently she manages the Interreg Europe DEBUTING project, and participates in the Erasmus+ PENELOPE project, both dealing with gender equality through clusters from different perspectives (cluster policy and cluster management).

Lucia is a well-known speaker and moderator at international conferences and workshops, as well as Gold and Silver Label experts of the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis / EUCLES
As an active international person Lucia was founder and the first president of AIESEC in Romania and is now member of several large networks like TCI - The Competitiveness Institute Global Network, EWMD – European Women Management Development Network for which she was National Representative for Austria in the International Board (2019-2023).
Lucia graduated magna cum laude from the Academy of Economic Sciences in Bucharest/Romania. She worked both for multinational companies such as Saatchi & Saatchi Centrade in Bucharest and Silhouette International in Austria (area manager for South-East Asia and South Europe), for small companies and public administration bodies in Austria and Romania.

 

Jara Pascual
 

Jara Pascual is an author and entrepreneur centered on Innovation. She is CEO and founder of Collabwith, an online platform bringing people together and encouraging collaborations online and offline. As Board Member of the Forum Knowledge4Innovation her voice is heard regularly at the European Parliament. Jara is co-founder and Managing Director of the The Wominvest Observatory. She is also the host of the Innovation Podcast "Business of Collaboration" and Book author of "Innovation & Collaboration in the Digital Era" from publisher @DeGruyter (coming in fall of 2021). Jara is a Telecom Engineer with an MBA and she is writing about innovation management for different online magazines. She has worked for 15 years in Innovation Management doing transformational innovation culture and projects in a number of Fortune 500 Companies and R&D Labs.



Raquel Ortega Martínez

Raquel Ortega Martínez is a European Project Manager at AMUEBLA, the furniture cluster of the Region of Murcia (Spain), where she has worked in international projects management for the last 7 years. She holds a bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences & Journalism, and her efforts are focused on fostering gender equality, leadership development, eco-innovation, cluster-based skills development, and promoting sustainable practices within various industries. Her commitment to gender mainstreaming, innovation, education and sustainable practices make her a dynamic force pushing for impactful change in the European projects landscape.
